New technology is never wasted. Of course there are problems but these problems are are opportunies to find new solutions. For example the problems of ventillation can be removed completely in a vacuum tunnel. Instead of ventillating the tunnel, we only ventillate the vehicles, making vacuum tunnels more economical. Making vacuum economical is already solved using my invention Zero Energy Transportation System. Switch on the front vacuum pump when vehicles are inside the vacuum tunnel. The pumps will transfer its energy to vehicles or vice versa. The vehicles assist the vacuum pumping.
Another problem is the rate of entry and exit of vehicles. To be optimum, the rates inside the tunnel and exits must be the same. Well documrnted in HCM, highway capacity manual and my book, No excuses for traffic jams and fatal accidents, in smashwords.
